This is due to a problem that occurred within the group almost two weeks or less ago, as it was switched around and changed. Maybe people either wasn't able to post into the proper contest folder, and some didn't specify that they were entering the contest when they were, and it caused a lot of confusion for the founder as much as the participants. Granted, this turned out to be a bit odd in how the contest turned out, though that was one of the main reasons the group was updated and given folders in the first place.

If you say so. As far as I've can saw the submittions of participants, and I'll be clear, some
of their pictures look like doodles and they're win, or get honorable mention ? I do a a pic for
this contest, a digital one, and I guess a hot or sexy one, and I get what ? No-thing. Maybe 'cause its a
yaoi pic ? I don't care about the prizes or mention, but its just the principle. I repeat, ne-ver-mind.

look, i didn't not give you a prize because it was a yaoi pic, but because, well.... it was sloppy looking. Your work really only fit into the sexy category, and of all the catagorys, anatomy and smoothness was the biggest factor in my judging. just because it was a pencil sketch doesn't mean its automatically less attractive than a digital one.
and for the honorable mentions? yes, some were doodles, but they were very well done doodles that brought Smexy into a new style that could be infinitely helpful for those looking to draw Smexy in the future. I already covered a realistic Smexy, and people have been using it as reference ever since, but i could not provide you with a cartoon variation, so for filling that void i felt an honorable mention was in order.
and for the funny category, obviously i based these mostly on how funny the joke and how good the delivery was, and was lenient about the art style.

look, i appreciate the feedback, i really do. but...
look, i...
i don't want to say it, but i think your being a sore loser.

but maybe i'm misunderstanding you. i mean your argument is rather vauge.

and as for the people that didn't enter, well, i said many times that for the first contest, i would be judging from the whole gallery due to the contest taking place before the contest folder even existed, let alone the huge re-working of the group. in the future i'll be able to limit my selection to just the folder, but for this time, if i were to limit my selection to the folder, then i would have missed out on many who had entered the contest.
i did not create smexy with the intention of gaining popularity from it, this was all completely unexpected, and i was quickly swamped.
i went from having about 6 fanarts, total; to nearly 200 in a few short weeks.
i had never created a group before this, or admined for one, or much of anything. i had to juggle being a collage student and my sudden spike in popularity. people are demanding my attention all the time, and im an antisocial nobody. i'm still figuring out how to handle popularity, so im sorry if i keep making mistakes, but i'm trying to be as fair and supportive of my fans as i possibly can. But theres only so much i can do.
I'm sorry.

You say my pic look sloppy ? So if I understand well, it was a bad quality ? You say the quality of the anatomy was bad ?? In accordance with what I saw, I don't agreed with you. I've passed times on it to do a good lineart, a good coloring, maybe the background wasn't really good, but don't dare to say my pic was bad, 'kay ? Maybe I misunderstanding your saying, but that what I understand. Don't critize my works.

And about the prize, I really don't care, I don't win, okay, so what. I already say it, I accept
my defeat, so no, I'm not a sore loser. Its on the principle to saw doodles quickly made and who they're not for the contest and digital pics where we passed times on it, that's all.

For the first contest, I was not in the group yet.

Listen, your character is a good one and all, its good for you if he become popular. But, I'll be clear, I don't give a shit you're an antisocial, you are what you are, that's all. I'll don't debate on your life or your popularity, or Smexy, I talk about this contest, I'll repeat myself, great for the winners and I'm happy for them. For my part, its the first and last time I draw your character, I know you don't give a shit on that, and that's great. I'll re-draw my pic and put one of my character at Smexy's place and that'll be fine.

I think all its say.

why are you getting so mad about this? i didn't say your pic was bad, personally i liked it, especially the shading on Smexy.

and don't criticize your work? the heck are you talking about?! im a judge in a contest, it is my JOB to criticize. thats what you enter contests for, to get your work judged. and hell, as an artist its your job to listen, otherwise you'll never get better!
you know how much of a gift it can be to have someone honestly criticize your work? its the difference between awesome and okay artists.

what, you think i think my own stuff is great? hell no! i hate my work most of the time! im critical, i can see when things are going wrong or right.

and sometimes sketches are better than the real thing. they often have a more fluid quality that is difficult to achieve in digital media. and i had to have a variety.
you think it would be fair if i let myself be biased towards digital art? and why, Because its colored? because it doesn't have to go through a scanner so the lines are sharper?

im not trying to be mean or rude, but how the hell am i supposed to explain to you that there were issues surrounding the contest that preventing me from being able to keep track of every person who did or did not enter the contest? you don't give a shit about my problems? well isn't that nice, because i care about yours. you, and the two hundred other people who have spontaneously appeared in my life demanding my time and energy.
its not complaining, its not excuses, its perspective. i despise people who make snap decisions without consideration of the issues and situations surrounding it.

but you know what? fine. you want to know why i thought your work was sloppy? Ok, i'll explain it to you

-their tongue's don't flow, instead flattening out prematurely like you confused his tongue with his jaw line, which also makes it seem like his front teeth on his lower jaw are missing.
-there's almost no variation of your line weight, which often detracts from the overall shadeing, such as in this case
- smexys mouth and teeth don't curve with his face, which makes it seem oddly flat.
-on the demon you messed up on his arm where it connects to his body, which left it looking like it had a large chunk of fat hanging from it. an arm which then leads into a forearm that has almost no muscle definition, instead looking like a cone, which leads to a small hand lacking in a wrist bone, and too sharp of a point on the opposite side of the wrist which should be a smooth transition.
- the demons eyes do not match. on one side you had a clear eyelid, that did not properly differentiate itself from its eye, so it looks like its a part of the eyeball in your pic, and on the other eye, even tough they are the same shape, this one completely lacks an eyelid, instead coming completely out of his forehead
-the demon lacks collar bones, making his pectoral muscles misshapen, not to mention your missing a few muscles that connect the head to the shoulders.
- and as for his messed up abbs, well, i could let that slide as a difference in demon physiology. but by human standards it looks like his ribcage is missing about a third of its ribs.

that is most of what is wrong with your pic. does that make it bad? no. overall i think you were actually one of the better ones at portraying Smexy as many don't properly show him as having a muscular build, or making out with another man for that matter. to be honest he kind of needs more of that.

does that mean you should replace smexy with another character? no. honestly why would you even consider that? your portayal of Smexy was one of the best parts of the pic. nice clean shading and god muscle structure in his arm.

does that mean i think you should never draw smexy again? or that you should avoid it just to spite me? no. personally one of my favorite things about smexy is that he's perfect for anatomy studys. you don't have to worry about faces, skin tones, hair, or whatever. just muscle structure and basic shading. he's pretty much all anatomy. most of the reason i drew him in the first place was to practice drawing muscles, and in all honesty, that's really all you need right now, your pretty good in the other areas. you just have to learn which muscles attach where, the range of movement in the joints, and the ratios between body parts.
and i may be wrong here, but you seem to be drawing people from the outside in, not inside out, which can make it hard to get the muscles right especially.

just like what im trying to work through right now. although i have a feeling you aren't obsessing over it as much as i am. ive been reading pretty much every how to draw comics book i can get my hands on recently so i'm starting to get pretty sensitive to the subject.
by the way, i love your jack napier drawings. i am such a fan of the joker, and you rally captured his expressions.

soooooo.... u still mad at me?

So a thing that I forgot to say concerning the anatomy, knows that every person draw it as he hears, that would be really monotonous to see all the persons drew in the same way. And also know, that there is full of errors in cartoons, anime, manga, comics, error of proportion or others, but it is what makes the style and the personality of the character, that is called creativity.
Now, we are going to close there, I lost enough of my time with you. My pleasure to not see you again.

when it comes to being sexy, anatomy is extremely important, even in other styles like anime, or even chibi. they all follow certain rules of anatomy, and failure to follow these rules results in disturbing effects.
cartoons and comic books can get away with it because they have consistency to back them up. as long as something is kept the same throughout numerous pics, then it is accepted as "style" for single pics, you do not have the same opportunity, especially for ones that are meant to be physically detailed humanoids.
everyone ha a subconscious knowledge of what a human looks like, and in order to make your work attractive, as an artist you must work around this intuitive knowledge, regardless of how simple or complex the character.
take bugs bunny for instance. even though he is a simple cartoon rabbit, human anatomy is very important in the drawing and especially animating of him.
how the shoulders connect to his body, where his elbow bends, the curve of his back, the layout of his face, all of these are carefully based off human anatomy so his movement and expressions seem natural and are not confusing to the audience. but change almost any part of him a quarter inch in any direction when your not showing the "squash and stretch" shown in cartoons to emphasize movement, and suddenly he looks all wrong, or even disturbing. don't dis anatomy. understanding how things are shaped and fit together is what makes artists better drawers than the common man, and is the basis for so much in art.
if you can leanr it first, then everything else you draw will be that much better, regardless of style

So I misunderstanding what you say, glad to see you like my pic.
But now, that's doesn't really matter, I delete it, so its like I go out the contest.

I don't ask you to take care of me, 'kay ? 'cause I don't demanding your time or whatever I know.

I didn't say your stuff was great, I just say that for the character of Smexy, not the pics in them totality.

And what, you think digital draw are easy ? You make digital, you can understand how it can hard sometimes.

I take note for Baal. And I also know I'm not perfect to drawing anatomy like a lot of folks.

And you're right, I'll not draw Smexy again, I'll just stay on Slender. Also I'll not avoid Smexy, 'cause before of that, I don't even know him.

And thanks for my Jack Napier drawings, but do not comment on them, thanks you.

And no, I'm not mad at you.

I can understand, and I have questions about it myself, but I didn't even pick out any of these pictures, that was all done by the founder. She hadn't even spoken to me about these winners, so if you do have a problem, I greatly suggest taking to her directly about it.
